What I learned in French Class

1. It is intimidating when you do not understand everything that a teacher says. I was nervous and felt like all of the ninth graders knew more than me—which is true!
2. As a teacher, it is important go over expectations. Mme addressed what it looks like to be prepared physically—in seat, tablet, pens, paper, etc.—and mentally: good attitude, smile, life is what you make of it.
3. Repetition is key—I only got it once I heard it several times.
4. It is OKAY if you don’t understand everything. I didn’t, but I could follow along.
5. It takes time to do homework. Technology can be a little scary.
